I managed to stay in the same flat for over 4 years which seems like a record but the landlord upped the rent above market value and so he forced my hand. Being that it is a new Chinese Year, The Year of the Dog it's time to find a new hydrant. After looking around I decided to spend a bit more and go for an ocean view flat and for the top floor. Penthouse baby! My current flat is the 7th floor and faces tennis courts with a tiny sliver sea view. The new flat is on the 28th floor and comes with its own private deck with storage shed and electrical outlets so I can run a barbecue, coffee maker, have a garden. I start moving in tomorrow but here is the flat empty and only night photos at the moment.
From the entrance this is the living room - Considered large by Hong Kong's Standards!
These windows face the opposing building so not much of a view - the kitchen is left and has a window to the right with a terrific view of the Tsing Ma Bridge.
This is the second bedroom or study
Master Bedroom - my phone camera makes this appear smaller than it is.
From the hallway to the front door. I am allowed to change the lights to whatever I want. Yeah more shopping.
One view from my rooftop. On a clear day I will be able to see the Downtown buildings like IFC.
My other view from the rooftop - the Tsing Ma Bridge.
